In a display of poorly placed affection, you blog readers have made your voices heard and voted in favor of a ghastly, mushy, nasty hot cereal. At least it was oatmeal as opposed to one of the more repulsive choices available. The poll had 5 more days to run, but I saw the writing on the silo. It's over. I'm taking my poll and going home. Eat your porridge alone.
We love oatmeal! My daughter used to demand her daily "opium."
ReplyDeleteMy boy loves it as well. He has traitorous genes.
ReplyDeleteYou don't know what you're missing! After exhaustive research I've determined that the best oatmeal in the world is Bob's Red Mill Organic Scottish Oatmeal. The Irish think they're all that with their steel-cut oats but, as far as I'm concerned, if it's not Scottish it's crap! I'm so devoted to Bob and his Caledonian breakfast goodness that I order it online (http://www.amazon.com/Bobs-Red-Mill-Scottish-20-Ounce/dp/B000PDME7E) as my local Whole Foods is occasionally out of stock. With a little brown sugar, some chopped walnuts and a splash of Almond Breeze I'm in whole grain heaven!
