at least I now have an example of purely perfect devotion that I can point to the next time I'm trying to tell my partner why she should always listen to me unconditionally.

I have someone who works for me who is exactly like this. exactly. except she is a he and he doesn't allow his wife to work. he has taught me many things.

I don't feel threatened by this woman. She is causing no harm to any of us and she is just trying to get through the day with some sanity left intact. A little charity directed toward her would cost us nothing.
If we really want to find out what makes her tick, invite her to view this blog and then have a respectful conversation with her about the "strangeness" we might think she suffers from.
