One of the blogs I list on the right is Sweet Juniper. I don't know him, but he too is a stay-at-home dad and a fine writer. If you haven't wandered over to his site you should. This post is a great reason why. He lives in Detroit (where the economy is a REAL disaster - your fault) and recently took a little visit to Detroit's abandoned zoo. Yeah, abandoned zoo. Nothing says societal collapse quite like empty civic structures.
I keep thinking Jurassic Park.
Immensely sad and yet peaceful.
