No Mention Of Palins In Richter Divorce File

As regards the request by Scott Richter that his divorce records be sealed, according to the Smoking Gun, his request was strictly to keep his address and phone number away from the press as his privacy was very important to him. Of the 98 pages of divorce records still open to the public following the denial of Richter's sealing request, the Palin's are only mentioned in the sealing request itself. They are not mentioned anywhere else in the proceedings.

This appears to have been a red herring in so far as the Enquirer affair story is concerned. As I noted yesterday, the desire to stay out of the spotlight and maintain your privacy would be reason enough to want your records closed.
