Warning

Celebrating the girl's birthday with cake and candle. Noticed the warning on the back of the candle's package. Felt you should see it, as well. Right above "Made in China". For all our sakes, please don't forget this.

Candle packaging is a funny thing. Your mother almost burned down our office in Kansas City. She very thoughtfully presented me with a birthday cake at work. So we lit the candles, and I started to blow them out. So I blew and I blew and blew until I was blue in the face. Each time I blew, more and more smoke came from the candles. It occurred to me that there were fire sprinklers about 8 feet above the cake. One of our more observant colleagues read the candle package that said “Relighting Candles”. It was clearly stated on the front of the package, but apparently it was in a font that was invisible to your mother, as she claimed to not know that they were relighting. Luckily the sprinklers did not go off and the candles were extinguished in a vase of water. Rest assured I will never let your mother forget how she almost burned down our office with her very kind gesture.

My mother's tendency to overlook the obvious can be a little dangerous at times :)
